Hacking through the code
On a project over-due
In the warnings go
Strict and minus w
Parsing list and string
CPAN makes it tight
What fun it is to code and sing
A hackers song tonight, Hey!

Squash them bugs
Squash them bugs
Code them all away
O what fun it is to hack
'cause Perl turns work to play

Obviously to the tune of 'Here Comes Santa Claus'

Here come lots of bugs, here come lots of bugs,
    right down the headache lane.
small bugs, big bugs, all the sizes,
    crawling over to you

People are screaming, tearing at hair,
but none of it helps at all.
Run for your life, that's the best.
Cause the bugs are coming for you.

Here come lots of bugs, here come lots of bugs,
    right down the headache lane.
Taking out systems, bringing down networks,
    software falling apart.
Hear the sizzle of frying hardware,
    what the frickering foo?!
Suffer the fate as it is too late,
cause the bugs are coming for you.

Here come lots of bugs, here come lots of bugs,
    right down the headache lane.
They don't think twice before they strike,
they just come whenever they please
All they know is the code is buggy,
there is no stopping them now.
Fill your bones with lots of fear,
cause the bugs are coming for you.

Here come lots of bugs, here come lots of bugs,
    right down the headache lane.
They'll come around when the timing is bad,
    the worst time possible.
Bringing terror and pain to all,
there is no escape from this hell
You're about to be eaten alive,
cause the bugs are coming for you.
cause the bugs are coming for you.

My husband showed this song to my 6-year old daughter. She loves it! She has it memorized. She keeps singing it and actually forgot how "Jingle Bells" actually goes. She sings it to our dog named Perl all day long. Thanks for the entertainment.
