D'oh

Field 20 ... and commenting it out stops the error ... but I don't understand why the error message consistantly pointed at the if statement. If anyone can elucidate this I would love to hear the answer otherwise thankyou everyone for your efforts.

Are you sure it's pointing at the if statement and not the print statement? ;-)	[reply]

Yep, checked, double checked, and triple checked. The if statement was originally a single line and the error line didn't change when I split it up and that is too many lines gap to be a misfingered off by one error One of the mysteries of the pooliverse.	[reply]

If you have the desire to follow up on this, I'd like to see you scatter some`print STDERR "At line: ", __LINE__, "\n";` through your source and try to see where it gets off.	[reply] [d/l]
