This isn't a big deal but someone should be aware of it if they aren't already.

Quite often I get on Perlmonks around 5:00-5:30am USA/Central time and I still have only the available votes from the day before. For some reason logging on at that time screws up my vote refresh(reload?) for that day (i.e. I don't get my reset of available votes). I don't know if anyone has noticed this so I figured I'd at least point it out.

This is a known problem with Perl Monks as far as I know, sometimes referred to as the "Vote Fairy".

It basically seems to be a race condition in the database: when you download a page, your records gets updated. If at the same time the cron job runs which hands out the votes, your page loading may well interfere with that.

I tend to avoid PerlMonks around that time.. ;-)
