I looked through ActiveStates and two perlmonks ppm module downloads and couldn't find the Simple DirectMedia Layer package either.

You have now a few chances left...

• Download the SDL module from CPAN and build it yourself
• Ask one of your fellow perlmonks nicely to build and package the SDL module for you.
