I've been wanting to delve into the electronics side of things for awhile. I finally decided it's time to get my hands dirty. I was doing some research and came across this RobotControl-PerlTk (for controlling a Mini-SSC-II servo controller)

While it's a pretty simple app, I thought it was a cool application (Actually waiting for all my stuff to arrive so I can start building my own perl driven animitronics)

Looks awesome...I wasn't aware that you could just print to /dev/ttyS0 for controls. Do you know how you would set the serial port up within Perl (possibly without system calls...any available modules?)? Seems that would make everything work nicer...

Though I doubt I'll ever get to play with any cool robotics stuff like this, it would be useful knowledge to have in case I ever had to work with any control systems.

Hi Johan, Finally getting around to trying it. FYI, It seems it depends on "Class::Accessor" but the dependency isn't formalized.
