i need for a travel agency website to register clientes
Dear Gentle Monk,
I see you are new to The Monastery. Welcome. You've asked
your first question and that is a good thing. However
let me give you some guideance and direct your attention
to the following:
But I know you are looking for techinical help so let
me point the way in that regard too.
Specific advice? Let me enumerate some of the
considerations that have to be thought through in order to
arrive at a solution to your delima:
- What is the end purpose of this code?
Think this one through carefully. Are you just providing
accounts to protect web resources? Are you collecting
information about your customers for a CRM system?
Both? What does CRM mean to you?
- What is the cost benefit relationship?
I have been known to take on the occasional independant
consulting assignment in my day. One of the fatal mistakes
I see made all the time when a business or professional
decides to "take it to the web" is they don't
consider if the time and money that is going to be
exponded on developing the web site and maintaining it
is going to yield a business gain. I'm not just talking
about direct sales here either, I'm talking about what
benefit to the business's bottom line it has in terms of
advertisement soft dollars, new business generated and
customer satisfaction. Just going out to the web aint
gonna make you a millionaire.
Brer NetWallah has pointed out an excellent off the
shelf solution. There are others. You might decide you
want to go with something that you can get support for
when it all goes wrong.
There are also a wealth of consultants out there who
would, for a fee, be willing to discuss options with you.
I'll warn you right now: you'd better have deep pockets
if you want to go that route because good consultants
do not come cheaply.
Define your problem set more clearly, try writing some
code on your own and if you run into problems along the
way then you can post here and get guidance. Asking a
wide open question like you did is not a good way to
get help.
