I would more than appreciate someone who knows more looking at my files... I have thrown them at ftp://ftp.cb921.org/XS/ if anyone is in that good a mood today! I've massaged it a touch, all 'const char *' to 'char *', and removed some functions dealing only with pointers to functions, which functions I do not need. I have made all types of any complex nature into T_PTROBJs in my typemap (well, h2xs did). This enabled compilation with no errors, though I'm still a little foggy as to what to actually pass through. hashes! I'll get there, soon enough. The function I am trying, is dx_open.. it accepts only a const char * and an int.. so the types should not yet have come into suspicion, I think...? Anyway, thank you.. Campbell
