Perl Bio: Began tweaking others code in 1995. Soon after began experimenting with CGIs and web based unix system monitoring and administration. Wrote my first massive perl program a year later with the guidence of a guru. Changed jobs a year later and had my first pure programming job at an organization that electronically published scientific and medical journals. I had to help write an SGML converters in perl. (Fun fun!) I also had to create a program to take any set of documents, manipulate images, and convert them into PDFs. Changed jobs a year later in which I was purely a Solaris admin. I missed programming so much that I took a job as a toolsmith and have since been working heavily with perl and unix administration.
That's where I am today. =)
