...or to put it kindly: We would need more information on what process you're following to install Perl, and on what errors you're seeing before we could weigh in on what needs to be done to get it installed in your case. I see nothing in the perl POD, nor on the Strawberry site that suggests Windows 8 is particularly problematic, but if we knew what problems you're experiencing we might be able to walk you through those steps that you are having difficulty with.
