$a=$b if ($b ne $a);

how can i do this another way, like a:

+=,*=,.=,||=,..., etc

ps: because my variable $a is very long, for example:

$a{aaaaaaa1}{aaaaaaa2}{aaaaaaa3}=$b if ($b ne $a{aaaaaaa1}{aaaaaaa2}{aaaaaaa3});
