Hello Monks. I need to request some assistance from you fine folks.
My team and I have to configure network devices (MRV Serial Servers) as part of our duties. To do so, we plug in a USB serial port to our laptop, plugin a console cable between PC and console port on the MRV, open PuTTY to COMn, and run the same set of steps every time. I would really like to automate this process. I have been researching all day but can't seem to land on a "that's what I need to use" solution. My initial thought was to use Expect, but that's not compatible with Windows ActivePerl. Any suggestions for a good solution? Don't misunderstand - I don't want anyone to write code for me... just looking for suggestions of a module that may help me get where I need to go.
Thanks!!
