Yes, I leave a large amount of my votes unspent.

But that's not the full story. Sometimes I specifically read random old nodes, because there are so many hidden gems, and in that case I can spend votes on these. Also, sometimes I read old nodes of a particular monk, with the intent of voting on most of them.
