please help me with this. i have trying so hard to figure out this!

Use Basic debugging checklist and Dumper() all the variable in play , namely the stuff you're printing (  $coordinate[$index] $np[$index] ) then do something to one of them to remove stuff you don't want ( see perlintro#Simple substitution or search remove unwanted)
