Hi all

i am attempting to build ('install') perl 5.8.9 and 5.10.1 using perlbrew on my debian system.

5.12.5 installed nicely.

in both cases i get this error in the tests...

comp/colon.t ..................................................... ok Quantifier follows nothing in regex; marked by <-- HERE in m/* <-- HER +E Copyright (C) 1991-2012 Free Software Foundation, Inc. This file is part of the GNU C Library. The GNU C Library is free software; you can redistribute it and/ at + comp/cpp.aux line 7. comp/cpp.t ....................................................... No subtests run

and later

run/switchp.t .................................................... ok Quantifier follows nothing in regex; marked by <-- HERE in m/* <-- HER +E Copyright (C) 1991-2012 Free Software Foundation, Inc. This file is part of the GNU C Library. The GNU C Library is free software; you can redistribute it and/ at + run/switchPx.aux line 7. run/switchPx.t ................................................... No subtests run run/switcht.t .................................................... ok

so i am guessing a regex is failing? to whom and via what means should i report this problem? im certain that i should provide more details, what sort of additional details should i provide?
