See Perl Monks find difficulty in understanding my question so I'm posting a this very same question in detailed manner. I have been assigned to translate DNA sequences. But all those DNA sequences of my interest is in a single FASTA file. I would like to translate it and save it in a excel sheet so I can incorporate into a database.
So My question is how would I do it or precisely I need a perl script to do it the above mentioned task. I have a script but it does translation for only one sequence at a time. So I want a perl script which take up multiple DNA sequences present in one file in one go and translating it side by side keeping its header caption unaffected
