I'm trying to build a login-system based on CGI::Session.

Any particular reason to make your own from scratch like that?

a session seems to get deleted after about 10 seconds or so automatically... too mucn code none of it runnable

Sorry but that code doesn't run, and nothing looks like it would cause the symptoms you describe, so my best suggestion is spend a few hours with Re: CGI::Session "cache" issue, ie with cgi::session not showing same session id which it was set and firefox doesn't show at all, Re: reg access of stored session variable (and the links they link)
