Just my personal taste; If you want to blink, user your eyelids, you can make anything and everything blink that way.
Blinking stuff is distastefully like marketing to me, or tells me something is going to blow up soon. If it is the former
it is distracting and gaudy. If it is the latter, there is little I can do about it, so would rather not know... :-)
No offense to the marketing majors or those of other tastes intended: just voicing my thoughts... tasteless as they may be.
