Here is what I did :)
if ( $conphone =~ /(\d{3})-(\d{3})-(\d{4})/ ) {
     print "Phone: $conphone<br />\n";
} else {
     print "BAD PHONE!!!! BAD PHONE!!!!<br />\n";
}

It seems to work :) Do you see anythign wrong with that??
