I need to install Image:Size module in a local directory as I do not have access to root.

I do fine up to the point when I type in:

perl Makefile.PL PREFIX=/u/mydir/perl

substituting the the path to the directory I want to install into for "/u/mydir/perl". I get an error:

sh: /u/mydir/perl: is a directory

and nothing else. All I really want to do is install the module in a local directory and then call it from a CGI that I am writing.

I've searched the site for "install module", but can not find any mention of hte error I get.

Am I missing something?
