This should be the title of your question Sig_num is a hash, but what is the @ symbol doing?
Why? Because hash @ symbol should return results like hash @ -> ?node_id=3989;HIT=hash%20%40;re=N -> need explanation of @foo{@bar} = (); (hash slice) , meaning of '@' sigil on a hash?
