Update: Now I see it! You don't use strict (refs). 

print Dumper $curr{my}[2], $curr{my}[2]{AB}, \%CD;

outputs 

$VAR1 = 'CD';
$VAR2 = 1;
$VAR3 = {
          'AB' => 1
        };
