I get the following error message when attempting to assign an IP address to the sock proxy configuration:

MozRepl::RemoteObject: NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED: Component returned failure code: 0x8000ffff (NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED) nsIPrefBranch.setIntPref at ./Proxy_settings_vs_1_5.pl line 30.

Below is a snippet of my code: $prefs->setIntPref('network.proxy.socks', 23.19.58.245),"\n";

what is the expected data in this section? Is the sytax wrong?

I tried :

$prefs->setIntPref('network/proxy.socks = 23.19.58.245',"\n");

but that gives me the same results. not sure how to resolve this. Any help will be appreciated.
