I'm still rather new to Perl, but I'm trying! I haven't found too much info on tk usage so I hope this node helps someone. I've looked around for the docs but the links lead to a zope error :( If anyone can help, please do so.

As for the example I needed a dialog box to pop up after my Perl code was executed, it's pretty neat. I made a Perl script to parse win32 log files, turned the script into a executable using perl2exe and added it to one of windoze scheduled tasks. Pretty cool stuff! Anyway HAVE FUN!
#!/usr/bin/perl-w use strict; use Tk; my $mw = MainWindow -> new; $mw -> title("my tk example"); my %nl = (); # newline $mw ->Label(%nl)->pack; my %nl = (); # newline $mw ->Label(%nl)->pack; my %nl = (); # newline $mw ->Label(%nl)->pack; my %text = ('-text',"Reminder, Don't forget to use strict!"); $mw ->Label(%text)->pack; # -ipadx = width # -ipady = height my $dialog_box = $mw -> Label()-> pack(-side => 'top', -ipadx => '120' +, -ipady => '25'); $mw -> Button(-text => "Close ", -command => sub { &exit })-> pack (-s +ide => 'bottom'); MainLoop;
