I have a series of perl scripts operating a payroll timesheet site with each script writing HTML. In the MS IE 5.5 browser the URL location remains as the initial site and is not updated even when doing a <a href=".../index.html... tag. It goes to the page but the URL stays with the original.

a browser REFRESH sends back to what is in URL location

How can I get perl to update the URL location
