Date::Calc is not Date::Format. Maybe you want(ed) to install libdate-format-perl libtimedate-perl in addition?
Before reinstalling, it is a good choice to keep track of the installed packages. For Debian (derivatives), the Debian wiki has Instructions for Listing Installed Packages.
Update Date::Format lives in TimeDate, so the Debian package might be libtimedate-perl. At least a cursory search confirms this.
