davorg's name is a contraction of dave.org.uk, a domain he owns

True. And that's the reason I started using it. But later on I heard someone explaining it as a contraction of Davros (the creator of the Daleks from Dr Who) and Borg (the Star Trek nasties) and as a fan of both of those shows, I now often use that as the "official" derivation of the name :)
