I'm in the process of replacing my old 32bit Thinkpad with a new 64bit HP 15. As these things go, MPIDE, Fritzing, Eagle, and wxPerl all required libraries that weren't included in 14.04. After a lot of searching, all have been successfully installed. Below is the script I used for the wxWidgets/wxPerl installation. Hope it can be of some use to someone.
