a wisdom seeker will forget some aspect of their input file format, someone will write some code for the sample data, and the OP will come back with "oh wait, actually this doesn't work for my real data, because my real data actually looks like this ...".
but how is that my fault for not being able to see their real data? this is the original problem. and it seems the blame has been placed squarely on my shoulders, when in fact noone in this thread really knows what the real data is... which is my point... WHY was it even brought up in a reply to me? the person who commented below or right after me seems to transform two columns worth of data into one. you should be having this conversation with them to be quite honest because i do not see the point of what seems to be arguing with you over this. i fixed my typo in the match case and i have went back and edited and re-edited my post/s and labeled the edits. and i made it clear as day that the code changes up the formatting (which more than likely doesnt even effect anything as severely as the reply below my original one). if there is anything further i can do for you just let me know.
