I'm not familiar with IRC but would nonetheless like to find a module that can parse IRC logs like the following. At the minimum I'd like it to identify the discussion and handle it differently than the administrivia like joining, splits, and quitting the channel.

. . . Jul 21 00:43:25 --> xxxxxx__ (~xxxx@xxxx.com) has joined #xxxxxxxx Jul 21 01:00:02 --> xxxxxx_xxx (~xx@xx.xx.com) has joined #xxxxxxxx Jul 21 02:16:07 <-- xxxxxxxx has quit (Ping timeout: 245 seconds) Jul 21 05:39:01 <xxxxxxx> xx xxxxxx xxxx x xxxxxx xxxxx/xxx? Jul 21 05:39:02 <xxxxxxx> xxxx x xxxxx xxx xxxx xxxx .... Jul 21 05:39:11 <xxxxxxx> xxx'x xxxxxxxx x'x xxxxx xx xxxxxxx xxxx Jul 21 08:33:22 <-- xxxxxx_xxx has quit (Quit: Leaving.) Jul 21 09:28:46 --- xxxxxx gives voice to xxxxxx__ xxxxxxx . . .

Based on experience, is there such a module? If so, again based on experience, which one(s) would be appropriate?
