But seriously: If you need help fast, the best way to get that is to help us help you. Read How do I post a question effectively?, I know what I mean. Why don't you?, and provide a Short, Self-Contained, Correct Example that demonstrates the issue you're having. Just from your description, it sounds like you want to store the job state between runs of the script and only report on the state when it changes. Perhaps in a database?
