OK, distance of sliding squares does not count. But when on a slide, the starting and ending square of one segment (segment=1 line, no turnings) counts. right?

I also thought whether moving backwards is allowed. That can change the problem's nature, so I suggest either no back movement or two flavours, one with back movements and one without.
