that's the plan Re^2: Announcing Perl 7

"old" CPAN modules will be assumed to be compatible to Perl5.

"new" modules will have a metatag "Perl 7" (or maybe a use 7.xx.xx ?)

So whatever the final solution, old code from CPAN is supposed to still run on P7
