I would encourage you to write and submit a patch, as others here have said, and to discuss it here. But, be pragmatic in your changes. Seek to make things clearer to an existing somewhat-familiar user of Perl. Don't "defend" it or "compare" it to other languages. That is a matter for a different venue. I like many of your clarifications but some might be unnecessary.
