Please tell me what you said here that wasn't regurgitated from someone elses quality post within the thread, but simply made it to be vague and useless? What is it in this post that adds to the discussion?

99% of my Perl code that is written today will run on a perl that was created 20 years ago. 99% of my code that I wrote 20 years ago will work on a perl created today. In other words, you can take a Perl hacker at any year of my Perl development and they would understand my code. I fail to understand the point you're trying to make. In fact, I fail to see any real point at all.

Please stop with your obfuscated nothingness. You do nothing for a conversation, and you take away from what are great conversations on topics that do have the potential to positively impact other people, especially newcomers.
