I need to write a relatively simple web based calendar display...I'm happy with a list view but my Head of Marvellous Marketing has troubles with list views!

Looking at HTML::Calendar::Simple it appears to do most, if not all of what I need. But I cannot install it on our webserver as it requires compiler access which is disabled. Before I write something, probably in Javascript, are there any other Pure Perl alternatives that I should consider?
