Being an excellent speller, I never need, or use, spellcheck. I might make a "typo" once in awhile, but spellcheckers often autocorrect me in error--and I have to go back and fix the damage afterward. In the same vein, if "strict" isn't helping me as much as it hurts me, it's my prerogative to avoid it. There is nothing wrong with avoiding what one does not need nor find helpful. To each his own--TMTOWTDI, right?

I refuse to become part of the cult of strict...I'll use it only so long as I find it helpful, with neither addiction nor compulsion, nor fanatical devotion to it.

Blessings,

~Polyglot~
