that's problably me. You can read my answer to the announcement here at pm then I was reached here via private message and then via mail by the survey organizer.
I told them that perlmonks is still in the list of support websites in the official docs (where I found it many years ago). I also pointed them to a recent example of newcomer support (iirc the first post of brother Bod was this one).
Sincerely when I saw facebook and not perlmonks I felt offended: our site still is the best resource in internet about perl.
That said, if I provoked unwanted side effects, they were unintended and my peneance will be to write one zillion lines of php :)
