"Tidings: What's New at PerlMonks" reported, a couple of months ago, "Slashdot Nodelet added".

I added it to my sidebar and check it pretty much every time I log in. I've found a number of interesting articles so thanks for doing this.

Today, before logging in, and therefore an "Anonymous Monk", I noticed that this nodelet was absent.

I wondered if it would be a useful addition to AM's sidebar. I thought that it might be which raised some questions:

• Do others also think it might be a useful, or even wanted, addition?
• Are there any technical difficulties associated with adding it?
• Are there any reasons not to add it?
