I think you've misunderstood what I was trying to say, as I was not saying what it seems you thought I was saying. In any case, while the idea for forking perl was nice, it would have to be someone else rewriting Perl, because I don't know the first thing about programming in C. At one point in time, when I made a rather fateful choice, I picked a class in Pascal instead of C++. Bad choice, perhaps, but cannot be helped now.
