I am having a perl script that runs a large amount of jobs in background(the jobs are so large that it sometime takes couple of days to complete). Is there any way I can update the perl script without affecting the running jobs i.e to maintain the backward compatibility. If any new job is in place it will use the updated code whereas the currently running jobs should not be affected. Kindly suggest.
