I use Windows on a daily basis, but it's not Windows 11. I use Win XP Pro SP2 32-bit with TinyPerl 5.8. The reason why I don't use Strawberry Perl is because it includes a lot of extras that I don't need. I don't dislike Strawberry Perl, I just think it is a bit too bloated. The entire installation takes up over 100 MB, and it includes things like gcc and various Linux programs that are ported to Windows. I don't need any of that. TinyPerl is only 500 KB and comes with some modules, but I don't even use those. Most of my Perl programs use only two modules --strict and warnings, and that's all.
This year in April I tried to switch to Linux permanently, but it didn't work out. I used SparkyLinux exclusively everyday for a month or so (it has Perl 5.40), but I eventually returned to Windows XP, because I am more productive in Windows. I use my computer for surfing the web, YouTube, Facebook, computer programming, web design, shopping online, reading the news, writing and printing Word documents, organizing photos/emails/personal files.
