I haven't done this unintentionally ever again after changing the theme when logged in. Worked for over a dozen years now.

Probably a better way to solve this "globally" is to change the text of the submit button to something like "create anonymously" or displaying the warning right there.

But obnoxious is in the eye of the beholder...
