Avoid what is bad, and keep using what works. Fortunately, I learned how to configure Windows so it doesn't want to communicate with the outside world. I'm not afraid of being hacked. Don't worry about me. The old Perl may have some limitations and bugs here and there, but it really hasn't limited my programs from working as they should. So, I'm fine. As long as it works, I'll use Windows XP. When I need something that doesn't work, I switch to Linux. I prefer Windows, because it's more familiar to me, and I like writing programs in JScript.
