Node ID 1 is a "nodetype" node. It contains nothing of any worth except to the mechanical workings of the site.
Likewise, #2 is a "container" node. #3 is a "document" node. #4 is a "htmlcode" node. #5 is an "htmlpage" node. #6 is an "image" node. #7 is a "node" node. And #8 is a "nodegroup" node.
Not every node here is for reading. Some are nothing but plumbing, scaffolding, and glue.
