I have, with your help, debugged my script which is creating a .txt file with contents "menu=whatever_my_form_sends" . It's working well but the Flash .swf that reads it is caching the .txt and refusing to reload the .txt even when the URL is appended with ?+some_random_#.
My question to you is what the most efficacious work-around would be. Should I use cookies to transmit variable values? Should I give up on Flash and create the update page with cgi? Is there away to do this with a dynamically named file? Hmmm, there's an idea...altering the Flash so it seeks a file whose name is somehow linked to the date or some such...
