Dear AM,

The only Perl based multi-user DB that I have had success with is Berkeley DB, and then you need to have an independent lock mechanism.

Years ago I tried all the different DBs for multi-user, multi-task use, so my knowledge of this is dated. Also please be careful of the Oracle licensing.
