The monk who posted those lists/questions has not logged into the Monastery for some time (approximately 2 years, according to his homenode). As to the reasoning for not having similar posts between 2005 and now (2015), I would not know.

Perhaps this could be an opportunity for you (or another industrious monk) to post the question and solicit suggested favorite modules and the reasoning why those instead of others (if available).

(I will suggest that the type of work and environment a particular monk exists in may affect their choice of favorite modules. Although the reasoning as to why a particular module would be the more interesting portion to me, it also seems as if it might provide an opportunity to learn about modules one is aware of, perhaps introducing one to a new soon-to-be favorite.)
