what would you all advise somebody to do who has absolutely no programming experience whatsoever but has decided he wants to learn Perl. Books? Classes? Forget it and try VB? :) let me also add that i know my way around a computer fairly well and networking is my deal, but i want to move more toward programming (especially Unix). thanks for your time.
