Thanks, I have seen that, but I am already using Cache::FastMmap as was suggested there and it still doesn't seem to be working, and the replies there suggest that IPC::Mmap isn't viable either. Unless I'm missing something? (if so you'll probably need to spell it out - as mentioned, I'm quite new at this...)
