The most painfully obvious thing that happens when you get promoted on perlmonks is your experience needed total goes up a few hundred points ;) I have just been promoted to friar and, while the extra votes etc are nice, it would be really nice if we had something tangible to show for all our hard work answering questions and obfuscating code when we are supposed to be doing something 'productive' ;)

It struck me that something that would be easy to produce would be a 'scroll of achievement' saying something like:

Certificate of perl Holiness

This is to commemorate the perlmonk $name achieving the position of $rank

This is due to his/her/its (delete as appropriate) dedication to the holiest of languages. By achiving this position they have proved themselves immune to the callow blandishments of visual basic, have stood firm against the unholy Bill and all his minions, have, most probably, embraced the penguin and, most holy of animals, the camel (but only embraced, we hope). Blah, blah, blah..... pad it out a bit... ;)

Signature of the Holy Vroom

Something like this could be automatically generated as a PNG file and emailed to the lucky monk. He, she or it could then print it off, frame it and use it to show off to cow-orkers

Any thoughts?
